Quick Notes on Social Networking

A month or so, I thought I'd move our Facebook group The Penthouse Radio over to a "fan page" to make it easier to update. Of course, Facebook doesn't allow you to just change the page type and keep people who joined up (that would be too easy). We tried telling our group members to move themselves over and that didn't work. More people joined the group and other listeners and artists "became a fan" of The Penthouse. Our answer? We now have both a group and a fan page on Facebook and have to update both.

We created a MySpace several years ago, and still drop in to see what's happening over there from time to time. MySpace seems to have also-ran status these days, but a number of artists are still supporting their efforts on there...so we're still on there.

Our Twitter account (
@PENTHOUSERADIO) keeps picking up followers (some of which are spammers or porn stars, which we try to weed through). We are following some interesting folks and have to say that we have some cool folks following us.

If you're not involved in any of the various Social Network sites (good for you!), but want to drop us a comment or let us know about an artist we should look into...you can always email us (how retro).
